About me: I work on advancing optical imaging techniques for material metrology and biomedical applications that can improve our human life. Particularly, I am developing precision measurement tools that can enable me to collaborate with researchers and engineers to solve fundamental and/or practical problems. I obtained my PhD degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2014. Immediately following that, I took a postdoc training at MIT until May 2017. Since 2011, I have focused on developing physical imaging models and building laser interferometric imaging instruments for various applications. In total, I have contributed to ~ 30 journal papers and ~ 20 conference proceedings. Link for more information about me.

Dipanjana Saha (M. Tech, Optics and Optoelectronics, First Class, 2017; Post B.Sc. B.Tech in Optics and Optoelectronics, First Class, 2015; B.Sc. in Electronics Science, First Class, University of Calcutta, 2012)

PhD student (08/2018-present)

Department of Biomedical Engineering, CUHK

About me: I did my Bachelor’s in electronics science (honours). Meanwhile, I developed an interest in optics, which motivated me do a post B.Sc. B.Tech. in optics and optoelectronics from the Department of Applied Optics and Photonics, University of Calcutta, India. My master’s degree was in “Masters in Technology in Optics and Optoelectronics” from the same department. After that I have worked as Junior Research Fellow in Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Hyderabad, India. There I have worked on a project which involves design and development of intense, narrow bandwidth and broadly tunable mid-IR radiation sources. These will be useful for high resolution spectroscopy and state selective preparation of molecules in molecular beams. I have also worked on A project to develop a Laser Wavemeter with solid Fizeau Interferometer of resolution I in range”. Apart from studies I like to play flute, Indian classical music, painting and reading poems and novels.
